Wii Firmware Update 4.2 shows a more Macho Nintendo lol

Affected homebrew Affected Effect Workaround Bannerbomb v1 Doesn't work. Bannerbomb v2, Smash Stack, or Indiana PwnsBootMii BootMii will be overwritten by boot2v4. Use HackMii installer v0.5 to (re)install. cIOS cIOS locations, primarily the ones used by pirates, are replaced by stubs. Don't pirate. DVDX Removed by the System Menu upon bootup. Use HackMii installer v0.5 to (re)install. DVDX 2.0 will not be removed by the 4.2 update. Homebrew Channel Removed by the System Menu upon bootup. Use HackMii installer v0.5 to (re)install. HBC 1.0.5 will not be removed by the 4.2 update. Preloader 0.29 Uninstalled due to a new System Menu. Since 4.2 uses IOS70, Preloader 0.29 will not work properly. Wait for an update (if Crediar chooses to update it).
Nintendo has released System Menu 4.2 in all regions for the Nintendo Wii. It's very much a killer update, so DO NOT UPDATE if you wan't to carry out using whatever you already use.

First WiiWare title to support MotionPlus!

Ghostfire Games CEO Ed Roman announces that they are listening to their fans and therefor their upcoming FPS fantasy styled fighter makes use of the Wii MotionPlus. No worries though, it will still support normal Wii controls as well.

Mientras Nintendo sigue ocupado anunciando su baja de precio en el Wii, han decidido pasar un memo en el que anuncian el New Super Mario Bros Wii con fecha de salida. La fecha estaba metidisima dentro del mismo anuncio de prensa que finzaliza con el nuevo precio del Wiim y revela que el tan esperado momento de las "Fiestas del 2009" se redujo a Noviembre 15 !!!Como la ven???

While Nintendo was busy making the announcement about the Wii's pricedrop (more on that later), they also decided to slip the world a little memo that "New Super Mario Bros Wii" has received a release date. The date was tucked deep into the same press release that finalized the Wii's new pricepoint, and reveals that the once "holiday 2009" expected game will now be scheduled to arrive in stores on November 15th. 

...Guess "Holiday 2009" comes a little early this year. Good, very good.

But for now you will have to settle with this trailer!

Okamiden Trailer

A sequel to Okami is on its way to the DS system. The game takes place slighty after the first game ended. You do control a wolf in this game as well, though this time around it is Chibiterasu that will shine as the star of the game.

You will use the stylus and "paint", like in the Okami, in order to make attacks etc.

No release date as of yet. Stay tuned.

New DSi and Wii Remote Colors Announced

Nintendo adds a bit of color to the holiday shopping season.

For those gamers who've been wishing for new DSi colors to be released in North America, it looks like your wish is about to come true. Not only is Nintendo bringing out two brand new DSi system colors, but they're also bringing an all-new black Wii Remote and Nunchuk to go along with it.

New DSi and Wii Remote colors will soon be available to consumers this holiday season.
