Pre order your Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii

Image
In order to get customers ready for the re-release of every Metroid Prime game in existence (well...except the DS iterations) Nintendo has revealed the very sleek boxart for the "Metroid Prime Trilogy". The game will ship inside a collective tin (not unlike a special collectors edition of other games), and inside the tin will be the game's box with a single disk containing all three games on it, and a "special Metroid Prime Trilogy artbook".

The collection will retail for about $50 in North America, but if you pre-order it from Gamestop you'll also receive a special Metroid T-Shirt featuring the one and only Samus Aran. The offer is valid for both in-store and online pre-orders.

Real Light saber madness on the Wii??

Image
Bensussen Deutsch & Associates has recently announced that it's creating the first officially licensed Star Wars lightsaber and blaster accessories for the Wii. These intially useless accessories may not be required, but when bundled with Star Wars - The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, will you be able to resist?

Like the Wii Sports accessories, these are not required to play the game, however... it is [i]a lightsaber[/b], and it does light up!

Having been confirmed that Star Wars - The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes does not have Wii Motion Plus support, the device(s) may not have Motion Plus support, however hopefully they will leave the door open for future releases, or so we can play Red Steel 2 or simular, and pretend The Swordman has taken a trip via the fourth dimension

Black Wii; Blue Controllers on Display at World Hobby Fair

Image
Nintendo and Capcom both had some very interesting things set up inside their booths at this weekend's World Hobby Fair. When browsing through the booths, each company had their own little sections dedicated to showing off their new Wii colors and accessories. Capcom's booth was showing off their Monster Hunter 3 bundles in order to promote the game before its release, and Nintendo was showing off its recently announced Limited Edition Blue Wiimote and Nunchuk that will be given away to a very lucky select group of people part of Club Nintendo Japan when they register their copies of "Wii Sports Resort" online. Joystiq Nintendo would like to note that all the accessories look extra sexy in black.

Motion Plus is a requirement for the next Zelda Wii

The Wii MotionPlus is apparently going to be a part of the next Legend of Zelda. Such a big part, that it might be compulsory, according to Shigeru Miyamoto. A game where he not only lacks the Master sword, but apparently classic controls too.

In an interview with Wired, Miyamoto said this:
Shigeru Miyamoto Wrote:
The goal at this point is that we would make Wii MotionPlus required in order to play Zelda

The bigger hurdle for us is not really whether people have a Wii MotionPlus or don't have it, it's whether or not the experience is one where people will think they want to have a Wii Motion Plus in order to experience it.

This means that to be able to play the next Zelda, you need to spend a little extra.

(Agarrense)

Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo Japan has declared in an interview to The Times that he was expecting the motion sensing controls from Sony and Microsoft for 2008, so it has come already late for what Nintendo President was expecting. (LOL)

If this is going to be a threat for the Company or not, Satoru Iwata has declared that the prices, compatible games, or dates have not been specified correctly to judge in accordance. Also, he affirms that Ninten…

Red DSi, Black Classic Control Pro and Black Wii in Japan

Image
Asi es, otra exclusiva de Japon, pero tengo esperenzas de que estas coloridas novedades las tendremos en America tambien, he aqui unas fotos:
Faithful Japanese customers rewarded with exclusive sky-coloured controller collection. Hot off the heels of Nintendo's announcement concerning the stylish new black Wii and red DSi designs, Japanese Wii owners will soon have another chance to snag some colourful new swag.
Customers who register their Wii Sports Resort game through the Club Nintendo Japan website between June 25 and August 1 will go in the running to win one of five thousand Club Nintendo-exclusive Wii Sports Resort controller packs consisting of a Wii Remote, Nunchuk and MotionPlus accessory, all tinted in a refreshing sky-blue hue. Neat, innit?
Considering the somewhat lacklustre support given to Club Nintendo across North America, Europe and Australia it seems unlikely that the same offer will be extended worldwide. Hey, at least you can wipe away your tears with your oh-so-c…

Image
Did you expect to get some news about a new Zelda game for Wii today? Well, you might have been out of luck when it came to the actual Nintendo E3 Conference, but at least you're gunna be getting a bit of a tease now. After the actual conference, news writers were invited to a special invite-only developers event with Shigeru Miyamoto talking a little bit about his current projects. When it came around to taling about the next Zelda iteration on the Wii, the famed designer confirmed that the does exist, but the title probably wouldn't see a release until 2010, at the earliest.
"We hope to bring it to you next year but it may take a little longer. To be honest, at E3 we wanted to announce a new Zelda game for Wii."When questioned about the possibility of using the Wii MotionPlus peripheral, Miyamoto responded that it was a "possibility" and that the game could be MotionPlus Exclusive (a-la Red Steel 2). The announcement was also followed by the showing of s…
